The Best Book Designs

A small exhibition Airport Library shows the winning publications of the Best Book Design Awards 2019. Those winners are now part of the collection of House of the Book, The Dutch museum of the written and printed book in past and present and one of the main partners of Airport Library. In the glass cases a selection is presented, on the digital exhibition screen all 33 winners are shown.

The Netherlands have a strong tradition of outstanding book design and book production technique. Every good book is a perfect combination of content and form, every book is a result of a perfect cooperation of publisher, designer and the graphical industry. 

Since 1926 the Best Dutch Book Designs are awarded as a way to emphasize the value and importance of the culture of book design and production technique and to stimulate publishers to act on that value and importance.
